What’s been happening at Long Lane Boutique…

Two cutie side tables!

I just loved these little tables when I finished them.

The customer favorite, French Linen and Old Ochre. One of my former students bought both of them. (yes, I’ve been teaching so long my students are married and having babies!)

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint has just been rocking my world the past few years. It’s changed my life! No seriously, sometimes I can’t believe people buy my creations..and love them. If I could just hug all of you for being so supportive. I would in a stink’n heartbeat.

Estes Campground East Portal

Estes Park East Portal Just a quick review of this quaint campground. It was our first time visiting. I did quite a bit of research to find this campground.

Overall, we were pleased…

We spent four nights at a tent only campsite. Our site was A3 (you can see the map here) It was quiet and we had plenty of elbow room. There was one other campsite next to us but not uncomfortably close.

As we checked in, the gal immediately told me our site was her favorite in the campground. Yay! We definitely had an impressive view.

Loved the quiet and serenity of this campground. This was one of the main reasons I chose this campground.

If you are looking for a bit more high volume place with better might want to go for a park that is actually inside Rocky Mountain National Park. We spent the day here and it was breathtaking…too say the least. Bear Lake was one of my favorite hikes.

I’d truly love to hear one of your favorite spots. We’re thinking Grand Canyon next…but I’m interested in where all of you have camped/hiked/kayaked 🙂

Happy Camping beautiful friends!

Well Heeelllllooooo!!!

You guys…I’ve missed you.

Nutshell..summer was Uhhmaze.

We kicked off the summer in Southwest Florida a little gem of a beach Tigertail. The shells were magical. It was private and secluded and just a piece of paradise to explore.I’ve been to several of Florida’s beaches (Daytona, Destin, Okaloosa Island, Clearwater, St. Pete) this is my favorite so far!

Of course we had tons of baseball. Both boys are on travel teams. So proud of my number #12’s.

The story behind this photo: To give you an idea of how low key he is..This boy was pitching in the championship game–his mama had a stomach in knots and could barely cope, and he’s over there just sleeping. No Big Deal!

The hubs and I ended the summer with a trip to Colorado.

Wow, my first time west. This girl loves the ocean waves but the mountains bring me a peace and sense of freedom that soothes my heart.

We celebrated 15 married years together this summer. It’s been a beautiful and messy marriage. I’m amazed every single day at the give and take…Love is a verb indeed..packed full of adjecives as well. 🙂

This photo was taken at Red Rocks. If you ever have the opportunity to see a show here..GO! We saw Nahko and Avett Brothers. You guys..I know Nahko isn’t very well known..but really go check them out. Such a great sound.

All three of our kids are Grrrowwwing…and I adore this new phase of life. (except for the eye rolling and wifi obsession)

Oh and my mom retired you guys. After years of working in the factory–we’re talking hard, on the line, start at 5:30 a.m type of factory work..She is now gardening and meandering about as she pleases. She is so deserving of some rest. I just adore her and her fresh veggies. 🙂 Cheers to a fabulous woman.

There’s more to say…but I’m just so happy to be back here.

ENOUGH about me!!…do tell….. What are you reading? where have you traveled? Where do I need to go next? I’d love to hear about some of your favorites anything..

Oh who’s on periscope…I’d love to chat with some of you in the near future!

It’s been so long!!

Favorite Bible Verse

I was tagged for my favorite Bible Verse over the weekend.

Psalm 118:24 has been in my top 5 for several years. So, during my bible journaling time–I decided to create a page.

This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

Such beautiful words.

Rejoicing sounds so carefree.

But then there’s weeks like this….

Rejoicing on days we don’t “feel” like it requires stepping up and putting our trust in HIM.

Big time!

A sweet friend lost her sister so suddenly this week…how can I rejoice? 4 children are without a father/ step-father this week in our small town…how can I rejoice? a 6 year old has been in the hospital for months battling cancer and only seems to be getting worse…how can I rejoice?

So, I suppose today I’m drawing near and hoping to find comfort and healing, so I am able to rejoice.

Praying each of you find the strength to rejoice!

It’s been rough around here–praying for so many.

On a much lighter note

For those who wonder:  the supplies I’ve been using

I just got these letters this past week. It’s taken some time to get used to them. But, I’m in love. They are such a great design.

I also ordered these great markers. Wow, totally changing my journaling.

I’m still waiting on my journaling bible to arrive, but in all honesty., it’s a blessing. I know myself. I would be upset if i made big mistakes in my new Bible, so this is the perfect way to practice. (oh, and yes, I did have a major coupon for the Bible)

I’ve created several pieces this month, so I wanted to show you a few of my favorites. I’m constantly amazed at the huge amount of people willing to support your dream if you just put it out there! All three of these pieces are sold. Beyond grateful.

Try it…go for it…you’ll be surprised! After all, I never imagined a year ago I would’ve come this far with up-cycling furniture. Seriously, don’t sit there another moment on a dream..make it a reality.
